Freddy James is the SVP of program development and production for HGTV and DIY Network. In this role, James helps provide strategic and creative direction for the networks’ programming. He supervises the development and production of all series and specials, and identifies new programming and genres. James is also charged with overseeing ad sales integrations for the two networks.
Joining HGTV 15 years ago, Freddy produced special programming for both Food Network and HGTV, including White House Christmas and The Tournament of Roses Parade. In 2010, James was named one of cable television’s “40 Under 40” by Multichannel News as one of the most innovative people in the cable TV industry.
